Hi there,
I am looking into displaying some qualitative or categorial data instead of quantitative values on my map (for example, contact information for a national representative). When the mouse hovers over the country, I hope the TEXT information can appear in the top section instead of graphs... May I know this is possible with Statplanet?
Many thanks for your help in advance,
SX
Hi, I'm not sure what you
Hi,
I'm not sure what you mean with 'top section' - if it's the graphs I am not sure how you would like to display categorical info here (it is possible to create a scatter plot though with categorical data). For a categorical / qualitative map, see the example in: http://www.sacmeq.org/statplanet/StatPlanet.html - Language - Language distribution). An example of how to create such a map is included in the StatPlanet Data Editor and further described in the user guide. There is a limit of 9 categories though so 9 kinds of information. For popup country text, this can be added separately for each country by inserting it in the first row just below the country names (also described in the user guide). However, this cannot currently be set for each indicator separately (so just one text per country no matter which indicator is selected). In the next version of StatPlanet it will be possible to set the text separately for each indicator.
Best,
Frank
